Teen Advisory Board

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) empowers teens to make their voices heard and to make change in the library and, through the library, in the community. TAB is organized and run by teens. TAB members can advise the library on its services, policies, and collection. They can create, plan, and run the library programs or services that they want to see offered to the community. They can also initiate and carry out projects for the library.

TAB can be community service; a chance to hone your creative, leadership, or strategic skills; a way to get behind-the-scenes at the library; a great thing to put on your college application or resume; or just an opportunity to hang out and do good things with other teens.

TAB is open to Scotch Plains and Fanwood teens in grades 6-12. Members can earn volunteer time for participating in meetings and other TAB-related activities.

The next TAB meeting will be on:
Monday, 4/15 at 5:00pm
