Library Programs

The Scotch Plains Public Library’s Youth Services Department offers a wide range of programs for children and teens.

Library Specials

The Scotch Plains Fanwood Education Association is collaborating with Fabio’s Bistro for a special event to promote Read Across America and celebrate a nation of diverse readers at the Scotch Plains library. Teachers will volunteer to read various diverse books to promote different perspectives to help kids understand how others think and feel. For more information visit our website.

On Saturday, 3/16, drop by the library for an all-day celebration of making brought to you by our Teen Advisory Board! From 10:00-4:00 (or while supplies last), the whole family is invited to stop by the children’s room to make buttons, origami, garlands, Lego constructions, and clay art!
We will also have two special events in the afternoon for kids in grades 1-5, for which registration is required; click here to learn more about balloon-powered pasta cars, or here to learn more about spaghetti-and-marshmallow towers.
