Connecting Beyond Distance: Navigating Social Anxiety in a Post-COVID World

Thursday, April 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a workshop presented by staff of Resolve Community Counseling Center.

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted social dynamics, leading to increased social isolation and heightened social anxiety for many individuals. Social isolation, resulting from lockdowns, social distancing measures, and remote work or education, has contributed to a sense of loneliness and disconnection. Prolonged periods of reduced face-to-face interactions have been linked to negative effects on mental health, including increased stress, depression, and feelings of isolation.

This workshop aims to provide a supportive and informative space for individuals dealing with social anxiety and the effects of social isolation, particularly exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The session will blend practical strategies, interactive discussions, and a focus on building connections in a post-pandemic world.

Dominique Outlaw-Howell, PsyD will present via Zoom,  with Jayda S. Yizar, M.A. facilitating the workshop in-person at the Library.

Please register.
