In December 2022, Chris Morgan, the legendary ecologist, narrator, author and creator of THE WILD with Chris Morgan podcast, made a surprise in-person visit to Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School to meet with environmental science teacher Zach Rittner and his students. 

At the conclusion of his presentation, Chris explained he had one more surprise:  Mr. Rittner had been selected by Wildlife Media /The WILD with Chris Morgan to join Chris for a sponsored place on his Arctic polar bear expedition to Svalbard, Norway, in the summer of 2023!  For Zach, it was the chance of a lifetime, and an opportunity to represent his district in the far north.  He immediately and excitedly agreed!
