It’s unanimous: we all want to get out of 2020. Don’t worry – the library is here to help! We’ve created a list of activities to distract you and help these last few weeks pass more quickly.
What it is: 10 free ways the library can help you pretend you are not experiencing 2020 anymore! For Scotch Plains and Fanwood students in grades 6-12 only.
How to participate: Download, screenshot, and/or print the list below. Complete as many activities as you like in any order, and as you do each one write the name of the book/movie you used to complete it in the blank space next to that activity.
What you get: Each teen who completes at least 5 of the activities on the list and sends their filled-in list to [email protected] by January 9, 2021 will be entered into a prize drawing. If you complete all 10 activities, you will get two drawing entries! (Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the prize!)
Print the black-and-white version on the right if you’d like to complete the challenge on paper, and when you’re done, just take a picture of it or scan it and email it to us. If you’d like to fill the list out digitally, open the colorful version on the left on your device, save the image, and fill it in using the image editor of your choice. When you’re done, just email us the filled-in version of the image!
How to find the resources mentioned in the list: If you’re looking for the sites mentioned in the activity list, here they are! You will need your Scotch Plains library card to use them. If you have any difficulty logging in or using the resources, email us and we’ll be glad to help you out!
Note: if you are a Fanwood cardholder, you also have access to Indieflix and Qello with your card through the Fanwood RBdigital website. Unfortunately, you do not have access to Freegal or Creativebug at the moment. Email [email protected] for activities to substitute, if you’re trying to do all 10!
