Wildlife in the Classroom

Monday, May 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Come learn about the exciting wildlife conservation programs taking place at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School!

Environmental science students have been busy raising rainbow trout, diamondback terrapins, bobwhite quail and even building a native pollinator garden.  Environmental science teacher Zachary Rittner will focus on the life history of these charismatic creatures, their conservation status, their value as an educational tool in the classroom, and what you can do to help protect these imperiled species.  This will be a great program for adults, teens, and kids with an interest in wildlife conservation.

You will even have a chance to meet two of our terrapins, ‘Squirtle’ and ‘Inchy’, as well as some of the newly hatched quail chicks!
