Who is That at My Feeder?

February 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Pete Axelrod of Wild Birds Unlimited will introduce us to the birds that commonly come to backyard feeders and how to distinguish between very similar species. He will also discuss unusual birds that have appeared this season. Learn about the nationwide Great Backyard Bird Survey (Feb. 16 – 19) and how you can participate in this Citizen Science project.

Registration is required for this program.

Pete has been a nature enthusiast since age 5. His passion led him to study Wildlife Biology and Natural History Interpretation. Pete has volunteered in avian population studies, wild bird rehabilitation, habitat restoration, wildlife education and leading birding ventures throughout New Jersey (with NJ Audubon, Friends of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, The Raptor Trust). He enjoys cycling, kayaking, and hiking and always has his binoculars handy.
