Virtual Mocktail Class
Thursday, July 8, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join Rebecca Pinnell as she teaches a virtual mocktail class aimed to help you create mocktails in your home with depth and balance. To celebrate crafting mocktails, Rebecca will guide us through making a Stone Fruit Sour and a Watermelon Southside.
The whiskey sour is a very popular cocktail that is often made with egg whites, which adds a creamy foamy texture but does not add egg flavor. For the Stone Fruit Sour, we will make a stone fruit syrup to be added to fresh lemon juice, your choice of tea, and an egg white or aquafaba (liquid from a can of chickpeas). The Southside is a popular cocktail from the 1920s that is a cousin to the gimlet. In class we will use Rebecca’s summer inspired recipe using watermelon, cucumber, mint and your choice of tea. This mocktail is super refreshing!
Before the event you will receive a “shopping” list detailing ingredients and tools that you can gather and have ready for the start of class. Cocktail tools are not required! The tools list offers many substitutions with common kitchen tools, like mason jars and measuring spoons. We will be making the mocktails step by step, at the same time together. This virtual class has been designed to be engaging, entertaining, and full of tips on how to continue to make delicious mocktails in your home.
