The Roots of Black Music in America: Live with Karlus Trapp

Join us on Zoom for a great evening of live music and important history!

Producer, songwriter, teacher and troubadour Karlus Trapp will present The Roots of Black Music in Americaa 100 year journey back through time to hear, experience anew, and learn about the music of America’s Black musical giants.

Hear Scott Joplin during the birth of Ragtime. Dance to the Charleston in the 1920’s.  Play air guitar with Chuck Berry or sing along with the Supremes in the 60’s in the Motor City.  Karlus has presented this show to thousands of adults and children since its inception over twenty years ago.

Warning: if you attend this show, you may find yourself smiling, humming or tapping your feet for hours afterward.  And you’ll be surprised what you may learn!

Karlus Trapp

 

Karlus Trapp is a singer and a published songwriter who has released several albums. His bluesy, Caribbean, influenced pop-rock has also been used in network TV and commercials around the world.  Trapp has a studio in Staten Island where he produces up-and-coming local artists.
