The Ice at the End of the World

November 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Ice at the End of the World: Book

Greenland’s ice doesn’t just tell us where we’ve been.

More urgently, it tells us where we’re headed.

Please plan to join us on Thursday, November 7 at 7pm for a very special visit from Jon Gertner, author of the highly acclaimed book, The Ice at the End of the World.

Greenland–a recent center of media attention–has been explored and studied by intrepid scientists for many years.  Their hard-won discoveries are now yielding insights not only into the island’s icy past, but into the future of our whole world.

Registration is encouraged by not required.

The Ice at the End of the World is a masterpiece of reportage and storytelling. What Gertner has found on Greenland’s remote glaciers is a harrowing tale of extremity and survival, as well as a harbinger of our own precarious future here on earth.
