Sunday Sounds: World Drumming

Join us on Sunday, February 2 when Vincent Pierce will introduce us to drumming traditions from around the world. The event will include a live drum circle where all are invited to play and participate!
Whether you join the drum circle, or simply come to listen and learn about drumming in different cultures, you’ll be sure to enjoy this special event.
Drums will be provided for use during the program for ten registered participants.
You are welcome to bring your own hand drum, as well!

Vincent Pierce is a skilled multi-percussionist and musician who has performed at world renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center. He enjoys teaching and spreading musical knowledge by using multi-cultural instruments and styles to encourage communication, understanding, and acceptance through the language of music.
Vincent has taught educational music and drum courses at Mason Gross School of the Arts and Rider University, and has taught hundreds of students privately. A professional performer since age 14, his latest release is an instrumental album, “Turiya, The Transcendent State,” featuring Hang and Halo drums, Tabla, Cajon, and synths.
