Plant-Based Cooking Workshop

Thursday, October 22, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Rev up your diet with more plant-based foods!

Would you like to incorporate more plant-based dishes into your meal rotation? Don’t miss this online workshop with Diane Weeks, RD.  Diane will talk about the health benefits of plant-forward eating, and demonstrate simple, delicious and healthy dishes that feature plants in a starring role.  Whether you’re just curious about plant-based eating, or a dedicated vegan, you’ll get some great easy-to-follow recipe ideas and tips!

Registration is required.  You will receive a Zoom link prior to the program.

Diane Weeks is a Registered Dietician and a Certified Diabetes Educator.  She has conducted many healthy eating and cooking workshops for local organizations, including the RWJ Rahway Fitness & Wellness Center in Scotch Plains.   Diane was a 2016 finalist in the NJBIZ Healthcare Heroes awards program, in the category Public Health Hero.

Plant-forward is a style of cooking and eating that emphasizes plant-based foods but is not strictly limited to them. Meat may be included but it’s usually not the main feature of the meal.  Read more from the American Heart Association.
