Memoir Group

Wednesday, April 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Do you have memories you would like to shape into a story that you can share?

Join local teacher and writer Edie Scher for a series of classes on creating a memoir. You’ll be guided through the process of writing, editing, and compiling your chapters in a supportive environment.

This group will meet for six virtual sessions on certain Wednesdays from 2pm to 3pm. Scheduled dates are:

  • April 12
  • April 26
  • May 10
  • May 24
  • June 14
  • June 28

Space is very limited; priority will be given to Scotch Plains adult resident cardholders. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Registrants are expected to attend each session in order to keep up with the assignments and participate in group discussions.

Edie Scher is a writer and teacher of English, whose credits include national publications: The New York Times, Country Living, Cat Fancy, Runners World, Weight Watchers Magazine. Her work has been included in the McGraw Hill Literature Anthology, A Cup of Comfort Anthology (first prize story winner), and Chicken Soup for the Soul, (four editions).
