Best-selling book author Jennifer Holland will first revisit her Unlikely Friendships series, sharing some of her favorite stories and discussing why and under what circumstances interspecies relationships seem to occur.

Pointing out how commonly dogs appear in these scenarios, she will then turn to her current reporting on canine evolution and intelligence, for her upcoming book Dog Smart (due out Spring 2024), to help explain why Canis familiaris makes friends across the animal kingdom and, especially, is so beloved to us.

If time allows, Jennifer will happily answer questions about her career path and her adventures traveling and writing for National Geographic magazine.
