Reading Ideas from our Book Clubs

Looking for reading suggestions? The library hosts several book clubs and their reading selections could provide you with YOUR next great read.

The perfect place to start looking for reading ideas is with our Bagels and Books group. This very active community meets one Monday morning per month to discuss what they have been reading individually and to offer their personal reviews. Titles reviewed are listed by month on the library’s Bagels and Books page. Librarians updated the most recent few months’ title lists with information about the titles’ availability in digital format. Bagels and Books’ next virtual meeting is Monday, May 4 at 10 am. Register here is you’d like to join us!

The library’s Cookbook Club meets one evening per month to share dishes prepared from a selected cookbook. Our main Cookbook Club page lists the cookbooks we have cooked from and discussed over the last few months. Based on our members’ suggestions, librarians created an additional page of reading selections about food, cooking, and food culture that are available in digital format. These titles can be found on the Read and Learn with Cookbook Club page. This month’s Cookbook Club will meet virtually Thursday, April 23 at 7 pm. Register here if you’d like to join us!

Our Afternoon and Evening book clubs each meet once per month to discuss a selected book together. You can access their upcoming title selections here. These book club meetings have been put on hold for the time being.
