Donation Drop-Off Dates
Collection Begins: Thursday, January 22nd
Sunday, January 25 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Saturday, January 31 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Thursday, February 19th from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday, February 21 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Sunday, February 22 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Saturday, February 28 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Collection Ends: Sunday, March 1 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Volunteers will be available on these dates to assist with donated materials. Please respect the posted donation collection dates to avoid disturbing library staff and patrons. Volunteers are needed to assist- please sign up at the Circulation Desk.
Guidelines for Donations
- Material donations need to be in good, re-saleable condition. Fiction, non-fiction, children's books, how-to books, cookbooks, etc. are all accepted. Lightly used DVDs, CDs and books on tape are also eagerly sought, particularly those items that are of interest to children. The Friends will not be able to accept sets of encyclopedias, Reader's Digest condensed books, old textbooks, or books that have been damaged, water soaked, etc.
In addition, VHS and music cassettes will NOT be accepted or offered for sale this year.
Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Friends of the Scotch Plains Library is a 501(3)c not-for-profit organization.

- The Friends of the Scotch Plains Public Library is open to all interested adults and youth, and membership is accepted throughout the year.
"Friends" meet on the third Tuesday of each month (September-June), at 7:30 PM in the downstairs meeting room of the Library. All members are invited to attend.
