Brad Parks

brad1_thumbThe public is invited to the Scotch Plains Public Library to meet Brad Parks and hear him read from his debut novel, Faces of the Gone. The library will have copies of the book available for sale and signing.

New Jersey readers will be especially interested in the novels’ locale – Newark – and its hero, “the sometimes-dashing” Milburn, NJ -born and bred investigative reporter, Carter Ross. The book, to be released on December 8, has been called, “the most hilariously funny and deadly serious mystery debut since Janet Evanovich’s One for the Money.[Library Journal].

A former journalist himself, Brad Parks drew on his experiences as a staff writer at The Washington Post and The Star-Ledger to create Carter Ross, investigative reporter for the fictional Newark Eagle- inspired him to undertake writing Faces of the Gone.
